Me and my son visited here, and we was very disappointed, the meat was very fatty and my son didn’t get a lot, the slices was very thin and I had the knob end of the beef which was un edible, the roast potatoes was that hard it would of knocked a hole in the wall, the peas was dry, the cauliflower cheese was warm but the mac and cheese was cold, the only thing that was fresh was the yorkies as they had just been brought out, we noticed another table had left there food and went. We Won’t be returning here again.

From the hostess who met us at the door and seated us to the ladies who served our deserts, first class customer service! The food was hot, fresh, and beautifully cooked. Best Toby Carvery around and would definitely recommend.

Meat was either sliced to a millimeter or you got one chunk so it was the bare minimum. Selection of veg was good & it was all hot. However, vegetarian gravy was cold so meal had to be microwaved - not great. Table service was slow but staff were nice enough. Puddings were lush. Good parking, easy to find & facilities were fine. Would I go again? With the 25% intro discount on app - yes. But probably no if not, because of the minimal meat portions. There's better out there to be honest.

we had a table for 3 booked at half 7 this afternoon, we arrived and were told there were no tables available but take a seat and we will be put under a buzzer system..25 minutes go by and were still being told no tables available while being witness to multiple tables that could of been made available but were just left covered with plates and glasses the service was absolutely disgraceful my partner tried to speak to a server in a very well mannered attempt to explain we had a table pre reserved so shouldnt that already be in place on arrival understandable if it was a walk in situation..she walked away from him mid conversation as if she just didnt have the time to hear it, the service, the hygiene and the lack of staff is abominable and in turn we had to take our custom elsewhere, i certainly will never be putting a penny in this place again and much sooner take my custom to the brewery fayre down the road who already had set up tables ready for not only reserved bookings but also walk ins, the tables were clean the staff were impeccable with the service and considering they were way buiser on there service at this time as there connected to a hotel then you were as a multi chain company i think thats preety diabolical, the only thing i can compliment was the food smelled beautiful so compliments to the chef but unfortunately we didnt get to try it due to the slack of the rest of the staff

If you are unfamiliar with the concept of a Toby Breakfast let me enlighten you as I was brand new to this concept of dining, you need to pay for you’re food before hand at the bar, you will need to collect cutlery and empty mugs / glasses to take to a table. The food is typical buffet style with heat lamps to keep food warm, as you can see from the pictures I added everything was over cooked including the fried eggs. Regarding service there was a wait for more food to be added to the buffet bar, a lack of staff to ask where cutlery was and glasses and dirty tables awaiting clearing. Couldn’t eat more than a couple of bites due to poor quality food. Definitely won’t be going there again.

Booked table online for birthday celebrations. Had to wait a while for drinks after ordering. Carvery was not the best. Two of the meats were grisly and very chewy. Cabbage, I couldn't chew as it was raw. Cauliflower was hard. Didn't enjoy.

Niki was amazing, always willing to check up on us! Had a lovely conversation!!! Nina popped over and she was a treat! We then interacted with Mitch and stein !!! Always a pleasure to visit the turf !!! Keep it up team !!!

Had an amazing meal food was fresh and there was a lot of choices. It is a lot cleaner than other Toby’s I have visited. Nicki made sure we had everything we needed and checked in as and when. Really enjoyable would 10/10 recommend

I took 4 residents with work and was made to feel very welcomed. Nothing was too much hassle and the service was perfect. Me and my colleagues could not fault Lisa who delt with us.

Buffet breakfast is nice but terrible organisation. No plates and waiting 10-15 minutes for parts of the buffet while it is cooked causing the rest of the food to be cold.
Its a shame as the food is good but very poor service.

I recently visited here for some food with the family for a Sunday carvery. Overall, it was a good experience. However, the portion size of the meat and the quality let itself down. It was not just the meat on my plate. It was all 7 of us that experienced this. In addition, I had an XL plate and asked for beef and lamb. I asked the server to cut a fresh piece of lamb, as the meat slice she was giving me contained cartlidge/ tendon (basically inedible) and she said no. We visited no long ago, and there wasn't an issue, so it could have been a one-off. But value for money vs. having little to no meat, I won't be returning if this happens again.
